Huge Benefits For Your Course

how the links card helps remove harmful discounts practices

Understanding that price sensitive golfers are value loyal, not brand loyal

This is the most important part of the process. By understanding that value golfers are a segment with a different mentality, you can start to leverage this powerful demographic for better yields by creating offers specific to them.

Create specific offers for specific goals for specific audiences

This is the hardest step to accept. It goes against your very nature. If you're going to pay for marketing, you want to reach the most people possible, right?

Not anymore.

We want you to reach the right audience with the right offer for the right goal.

Join our network of partner courses for marketing efficiency and effectiveness

The Links Card is a collective marketing platform for golf courses to serve up offers, usually focused on expiring tee times, to a ready audience that's focused on value.

Not only is it free to join, but you'll be on your way unlocking your yields and phasing out the harmful discount practices that have plagued the industry for decades.

Thorntree Country Club: A Challenging Golfing Experience in De Soto, Texas

Thorntree Country Club, located in the charming town of De Soto, Texas, offers an exceptional golfing experience for players of all skill levels. Established in 1983, this private 18-hole course boasts a challenging yet enjoyable layout designed by an undisclosed architect. Measuring 7,042 yards from the championship tees, Thorntree provides ample distance to test players' skills off the tee. With a par of 72, a slope rating of 144, and a rating of 74.9, this course presents a formidable challenge for seasoned golfers seeking a true test of their abilities. Despite its difficulty, multiple tee options cater to players of varying skill levels, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all. The fairways are adorned with lush Bermuda grass, while the greens feature pristine Champions Bermuda grass, providing excellent playing surfaces throughout the year. In addition to its outstanding layout and conditions, Thorntree Country Club offers amenities such as driving range access and teaching professionals for those looking to improve their game.

Player Reviews: A Mixed Bag of Experiences

Thorntree Country Club has garnered a mix of reviews from golfers, offering valuable insights into the course's strengths and areas for improvement. Overall, the course conditions receive positive feedback, with many praising the well-maintained fairways and greens. One reviewer even raved about the greens, describing them as "the best of any other courses around." However, some golfers have pointed out areas that need attention, such as bunkers that are not well-maintained and dry patches on the fairways.

The layout of Thorntree Country Club is generally well-received by golfers. Many describe it as challenging yet fun to play, with one golfer commending its "awesome layout" that encourages strategic shot selection. The course's design provides a thought-provoking experience, requiring players to carefully consider their approach to each hole.

Staff friendliness is another positive aspect highlighted by golfers. The approachable and friendly attitude of the staff, particularly an individual named Kyle, has been widely appreciated. Kyle's exceptional friendliness has left a lasting impression on many golfers, enhancing their overall experience at Thorntree Country Club.

Pace of play, however, seems to be a point of contention among reviewers. While some golfers have had excellent experiences with quick rounds, others have encountered slow play, especially on busy days due to a lack of marshals. This inconsistency in pace of play can be frustrating for golfers who prefer a smoother flow of the game.

Despite some areas for improvement, Thorntree Country Club offers a good value for money according to many reviewers. The Links Cards, a reputable golf course review platform, echoes this sentiment, highlighting the course's overall quality and enjoyable experience. While there are certainly aspects that could be enhanced, such as bunker maintenance and addressing dry patches on the fairways, the positive aspects of Thorntree Country Club outweigh these concerns. The challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff contribute to a memorable golfing experience that many reviewers recommend.

My course is fully booked, why do I need The Links Card?

We simply want you to have the systems in place to reduce $0 tee times, even if they are rare for you.

Our platform allows you to create offers that increase demand during times that you need it, even if it's as small of a window as after 2pm on Mondays.

What is considered an expiring tee-time?

From what we've seen, it's the time frame when chances of bookings drop drastically and the expected value of a tee time rapidly approaches $0. For most courses, it's the last 24 hours before a tee time.

24 hours if our default but you're welcome to extend your offer out to meet the needs of your course. For example, a more rural course may want to use 72 hours while a resort near a city may want to use 24 hours

Can my course do this on our own?

Great question and you absolutely can!

It's easy enough to build out an audience of value golfers. From what we've heard from our partner courses, the more difficult and time consuming part is utilizing them without damaging your brand.

Instead of adding another set of processes to your to do list, you can leverage The Links Card and our process to increase your yields for free.
