Huge Benefits For Your Course

how the links card helps remove harmful discounts practices

Understanding that price sensitive golfers are value loyal, not brand loyal

This is the most important part of the process. By understanding that value golfers are a segment with a different mentality, you can start to leverage this powerful demographic for better yields by creating offers specific to them.

Create specific offers for specific goals for specific audiences

This is the hardest step to accept. It goes against your very nature. If you're going to pay for marketing, you want to reach the most people possible, right?

Not anymore.

We want you to reach the right audience with the right offer for the right goal.

Join our network of partner courses for marketing efficiency and effectiveness

The Links Card is a collective marketing platform for golf courses to serve up offers, usually focused on expiring tee times, to a ready audience that's focused on value.

Not only is it free to join, but you'll be on your way unlocking your yields and phasing out the harmful discount practices that have plagued the industry for decades.

Montclair Golf Course: A Scenic Oakland Getaway for Golfers of All Levels

Montclair Golf Course, nestled in the scenic city of Oakland, California, offers a delightful golfing experience for players of all skill levels. Designed as a pitch and putt style course, it features a manageable 9-hole layout with a par of 27, spanning a length of 657 yards. While it lacks official slope or rating values, Montclair's shorter layout and approachable par make it an ideal destination for beginners seeking to hone their skills. Intermediate players can also find challenges in navigating the diverse holes, while advanced golfers may appreciate it as an opportunity for short game practice or a quick round amidst their busy schedules. Overall, Montclair Golf Course provides an accessible and enjoyable option for golf enthusiasts looking to immerse themselves in Oakland's picturesque surroundings without feeling overwhelmed by excessive difficulty.

Player Reviews: A Mixed Bag of Experiences

Montclair Golf Course has garnered a range of reviews from golfers, reflecting its unique blend of challenges and charms. Some players have lauded the friendly staff and the presence of adorable kittys on the course, adding a touch of whimsy to their golfing experience. However, the course itself has been described as quite challenging for a pitch and putt, with slow greens and narrow pathways obstructed by branches. Despite these obstacles, many reviewers still found the experience to be worth the cost.

Other golfers have praised Montclair as an excellent venue for honing one's short game, appreciating the amiable staff and the freedom to play at their own pace. The course layout, while not exceptional, is deemed suitable for beginners and those seeking to improve their pitching and putting skills. Montclair's charm lies in its compact size, offering short distances with overhangs, deep slopes, and picturesque surroundings adorned with redwoods and blackberry bushes.

However, not all reviews have been positive. Some players have pointed out drawbacks such as tee boxes made of mats instead of grass, small and oddly shaped greens, and encroaching tree lines that can snag shots. Additionally, a few reviewers have encountered unfriendly staff during check-in and observed that the course is primarily frequented by locals for its dive bar and driving range rather than for serious golfing.

Despite the mixed opinions, Montclair Golf Course offers undeniable value for money, particularly for those seeking to practice their short game. The friendly staff and the overall affordability of the course are consistent positives mentioned by reviewers. However, there is room for improvement in certain areas, such as the challenging course conditions, the unremarkable layout, and the limited amenities. By addressing these aspects, Montclair Golf Course has the potential to elevate its reputation and attract a wider range of golfers seeking a unique and enjoyable golfing experience in Oakland.

What's in it for The Links Card?

We don't charge our partner courses to participate on The Links Card platform.

Our revenue comes from selling memberships to golfers to access the special offers.

My course is fully booked, why do I need The Links Card?

We simply want you to have the systems in place to reduce $0 tee times, even if they are rare for you.

Our platform allows you to create offers that increase demand during times that you need it, even if it's as small of a window as after 2pm on Mondays.

What is considered an expiring tee-time?

From what we've seen, it's the time frame when chances of bookings drop drastically and the expected value of a tee time rapidly approaches $0. For most courses, it's the last 24 hours before a tee time.

24 hours if our default but you're welcome to extend your offer out to meet the needs of your course. For example, a more rural course may want to use 72 hours while a resort near a city may want to use 24 hours

Can my course do this on our own?

Great question and you absolutely can!

It's easy enough to build out an audience of value golfers. From what we've heard from our partner courses, the more difficult and time consuming part is utilizing them without damaging your brand.

Instead of adding another set of processes to your to do list, you can leverage The Links Card and our process to increase your yields for free.
