Huge Benefits For Your Course

how the links card helps remove harmful discounts practices

Understanding that price sensitive golfers are value loyal, not brand loyal

This is the most important part of the process. By understanding that value golfers are a segment with a different mentality, you can start to leverage this powerful demographic for better yields by creating offers specific to them.

Create specific offers for specific goals for specific audiences

This is the hardest step to accept. It goes against your very nature. If you're going to pay for marketing, you want to reach the most people possible, right?

Not anymore.

We want you to reach the right audience with the right offer for the right goal.

Join our network of partner courses for marketing efficiency and effectiveness

The Links Card is a collective marketing platform for golf courses to serve up offers, usually focused on expiring tee times, to a ready audience that's focused on value.

Not only is it free to join, but you'll be on your way unlocking your yields and phasing out the harmful discount practices that have plagued the industry for decades.

Deertrak Golf Club: A Comprehensive Overview

Deertrak Golf Club: An Overview

Deertrak Golf Club, nestled in the charming city of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, is a public 18-hole course that offers a delightful golfing experience for players of all skill levels. Designed by the renowned Don Chapman and established in 1986, this par-72 course stretches across 6,363 yards from the blue tees, providing a challenging yet enjoyable layout. Deertrak boasts meticulously maintained bent grass fairways and greens, ensuring optimal playing conditions throughout the golf season, which spans from April to November.

The course features a diverse range of hole designs that demand strategic shot-making while showcasing the breathtaking natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. With a slope rating of 115 and a course rating of 68.6, Deertrak strikes a balance between playability for beginners and opportunities for seasoned golfers to put their skills to the test. The club also offers excellent practice facilities, including a driving range and putting green, as well as rental services for carts and clubs, ensuring a comprehensive golfing experience.

Player Reviews: A Mixed Bag

Deertrak Golf Club has garnered a mix of reviews from players, highlighting both its strengths and areas for improvement. While some players commend the course for its interesting layout and true-rolling greens, others have pointed out concerns with crowned and uneven teeboxes, as well as rough areas throughout the course. One particular critique is directed at the first hole, which some players feel is more suited to an executive course rather than a full-length golf course.

One aspect that receives consistent praise is the exceptional cart service during the day, with players rarely left thirsty despite the absence of water dispensers on the course. However, early morning rounds can be challenging due to sprinklers operating on fairways, the absence of flag sticks or tee box markers, and the occasional need to navigate around mowers and green rollers. Opinions on staff friendliness vary, ranging from average to poor, based on individual experiences.

The value for money proposition of Deertrak Golf Club has also been questioned by some reviewers, who feel that there are better options available in the area at a similar price point. Despite these mixed reviews, overall satisfaction among players remains relatively positive, with compliments given to amenities such as the unique island green design elements found on certain holes.

The Links Cards, a reputable source for golf course reviews, provides its own insights into the perceived value of Deertrak Golf Club. While acknowledging the course's interesting layout, The Links Cards highlights the inconsistent maintenance standards that result in a variable playing experience across different parts of the course. This inconsistency is seen as a key factor affecting the overall value proposition of Deertrak Golf Club.

In conclusion, Deertrak Golf Club offers an intriguing layout that caters to golfers of varying skill levels. However, its inconsistent maintenance standards and mixed reviews on value for money may deter some players from fully embracing the course. Despite these shortcomings, Deertrak Golf Club remains a solid choice for those seeking an enjoyable round of golf in the Oconomowoc area.

My course is fully booked, why do I need The Links Card?

We simply want you to have the systems in place to reduce $0 tee times, even if they are rare for you.

Our platform allows you to create offers that increase demand during times that you need it, even if it's as small of a window as after 2pm on Mondays.

What is considered an expiring tee-time?

From what we've seen, it's the time frame when chances of bookings drop drastically and the expected value of a tee time rapidly approaches $0. For most courses, it's the last 24 hours before a tee time.

24 hours if our default but you're welcome to extend your offer out to meet the needs of your course. For example, a more rural course may want to use 72 hours while a resort near a city may want to use 24 hours

Can my course do this on our own?

Great question and you absolutely can!
